Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano has announced changes to the enforcement hours of school speed zone cameras starting Monday.
The devices will now be live from 7-9 a.m. and 2-4 p.m.
The program issues $80 fines to drivers caught speeding in certain school zones that have been set up with the cameras.
Many have criticized the program as a cash-grab instead of a safety measure.
