A Nassau County teen is bringing a smile to the faces of Ukrainian children by collecting toys.  

Jericho High School student Jessica Vartanov announced the new effort aimed at helping displaced Ukrainian children overseas.  The effort is in partnership with the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots.

The goal is to collect a couple thousand toys for Ukrainian kids.

Vartanov will also be traveling to eastern Europe at the end of the week to help aid Ukrainian refugees.
