Hicksville public schools posted a reminder on their Facebook page about a new policy in their Code of Conduct about e-bikes and e-scooters.
As of Jan. 21, the Board of Education adopted this policy that prohibits students to ride e-bikes or e-scooters to school.
The post says these devices are banned from all school property, including parking lots, walkways and fence lines.
The district also wrote they are unable to store or secure these vehicles.
The school district also wrote that Nassau police could confiscate any e-bikes or e-scooters found on school property. Students who violate the policy may face disciplinary action.
Hicksville public schools declined News 12's request for an interview.
