An effort is under way to try and help Long Island residents in need of transportation.
Nassau Executive Laura Curran announced the continuation of the Everyone Rides NICE Foundation.
The program provides MetroCards for bus riders to several social service agencies.
"For too many of our residents in Nassau County, a missed ride is a missed opportunity," says Curran. "Whether it's being able to get to a job interview, a medical appointment, getting to school. Our folks need to get where they need to get. Especially as we are recovering from this pandemic."
