Nassau County police are searching for a robber who uses a ladder to gain second-floor entry into homes.
Cops say at least 11 homes have been hit across Nassau since January, the most recent happening in Seaford. In each incident, investigators say the thief enters the home through a second-floor skylight, vent or window and steals cash, jewelry and other small items that are easily concealed. Authorities say no one has been home at the time of any of the burglaries and that no injuries have been reported.
Police believe only some of the incidents are related, and they are not sure whether the criminal is acting alone. They say they have some leads, but no suspects at this time.
