Nassau police: ‘Disorderly’ UBS Arena patrons became violent; 5 arrested

Detectives say officers arrived around midnight as security guards attempted to escort people out.

Nassau police say they arrested five people who became disorderly Friday night at the UBS Arena.
Detectives say officers arrived around midnight as security guards attempted to escort people out. Police say as they placed 24-year-old Eduardo Flores Hernandez, of the Bronx, in custody, 25-year-old Dana Morales, also of the Bronx, began to pushing and attempted to punch officers.
That's when 26-year-old Bronx resident Lisset Flores Hernandez bit and punched officers and security guards, according to authorities.
Additionally, police say 50-year-old Fernando Velasco, of New York City, and 26-year-old Andy Velasquez, of the Bronx, both punched a security guard in the face while both were being escorted out of the venue.
The security guard refused medical attention at scene.
Eduardo Flores Hernandez, Morales and Lisset Flores Hernandez face multiple charges that include obstructing governmental administration, criminal trespassing, resisting arrest, harassment, assault and other charges.
Fernando Velasco and Andy Velasquez were both charged with assault in the third degree.
According to the UBS website, multiple artists were performing at Mega Bash MX.
