Nassau County police will begin special training today on how to deal with terror and active shooters.
According to officials, the officers will be training with 150 new long-range rifles that are equipped to shoot at a further distance.
The department will also continue active shooter drills, similar to the one conducted last weekend at Nassau Community College.
