Nassau police say they arrested two women for an early Sunday morning burglary in Franklin Square.
Detectives say it happened on Park Lane shortly after 1 a.m.
Police say they received a call from a 30-year-old woman who said she saw a light shining in the basement window of her home. She then heard aggressive knocking at the basement door before the two suspects entered the home without permission.
Ashley Dunn, of North Bellmore, and Kelly Walsh, of Denville, New Jersey, then allegedly pulled the woman's hair, punched and slapped her in her head, neck and chest.
Dunn and Walsh, both 27, were arrested at the scene and charged with burglary in the first degree.
The victim refused medical treatment for her injuries.
