A stabbing or slashing sent one victim to the hospital Friday after an altercation at the Roosevelt Field Mall.

Police say the incident occurred near the food court at around 4 p.m.

They say one person was taken to a nearby hospital with a laceration wound.

The incident caused many shoppers to leave the mall through the Bloomingdale’s exit, an employee there said.

Nassau police didn’t announce any arrests, but a News 12 reporter on the scene says a person was taken into custody.

Details surrounding the incident have not yet been released.
