Hazy, hot and humid weather is expected for today across Long Island.
Nassau County has opened six cooling centers for residents to beat the heat.
Some cooling centers opened are Mitchel Field in Uniondale, Wantagh Community Center in Wantagh, Grant Park in Hewlett, Bethpage Ice Center, SYO Woodbury Ice Rink in Woodbury and Marjorie Post Rink in Uniondale.
Suffolk County has not released a list of cooling centers.
