Police are planning to heighten security at Nassau County synagogues as the Jewish High Holy Days begin tomorrow at sundown.
County Executive Ed Mangano said today that he plans more "intensified police patrols" around synagogues during specific Rosh Hashanah services.
The NYPD also says it is increasing security at houses of worship and Jewish neighborhoods, especially in light of the debate over military action in Syria.
