Nassau officials have confirmed a measles case in the county.
Health officials say the patient arrived on an international flight through John F. Kennedy International Airport.
They say the adult, whose identity is not being released, was exposed to the the highly contagious disease in another country with an ongoing outbreak.
News 12 is told there is minimal risk of exposure to Nassau residents.
