Nassau IDA to select new chairman later this month

Nassau County's Industrial Development Agency is set to select its next chairman later this month.
Its current head, Richard Kessel, announced his departure last week.
The 73-year-old has led the IDA since 2018 and was once the chairman for the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA). He said he hopes to serve in another government position.
The IDA is in charge of granting tax breaks to expanding businesses and housing projects.
