Nassau County Executive Laura Curran gave an update Monday on the COVID-19 outbreak. 
BRIEFING NOTES: 
-Executive Curran announced nine new COVID-19 deaths since Sunday, for a total of 48 in the county. They were ages 42 to 87, and it includes seven men and two women.
-Curran says the county has 1,130 COVID-19-related hospitalizations.
-The executive thanked the county's residents for their efforts and patience in tackling virus challenges.
-Curran detailed violations against alleged price gougers in the county and warned businesses against it. A total of 70 violations have been issued in the county so far.
-Curran says the county is working with local funeral homes for guidance on COVID-19 and non-COVID-19-related deaths, as funeral services need to be postponed due to bans on gatherings.
