Nassau County Democrats have nominated state Sen. Todd Kaminsky to become the Nassau County District Attorney.

In a statement to News 12, the county’s Democratic Committee says Kaminsky is the right man for the job.  

They say his previous experience as assistant district attorney and as a federal prosecutor make him a good fit.

Nassau Republicans are not convinced, saying that Kaminsky is too soft on criminals.

Joseph Cairo Jr. of the Nassau County Republican Committee says that “Todd Kaminsky is too extreme and too dangerous for Nassau County residents.”
