Nassau County Executive Laura Curran says 10% of all people tested for COVID-19 Thursday tested positive. That is the lowest number the county has posted in months.
The county says it has ramped up testing by partnering with community health centers to administer viral testing. The county also says antibody testing has been done on over 900 first responders.
Curran stressed she has directed the Nassau County Health Department to track to see if there are any children presenting with a rare disease called Pediatric Multi-System Inflammatory Syndrome in the hospital systems.
