Nassau County officials crushed dozens of seized ATVS, dirt bikes and electric scooters Wednesday.
They say the vehicles have been ridden illegally and have caused a nuisance in neighborhoods.
"The message is very clear - we will not tolerate this nonsense in Nassau County," says Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman. "We've seen far too much of it and we're not going to tolerate it."
Blakeman says there are places the vehicles can be ridden safely and legally, but he says it's not on county roads.
News 12 is told the vehicles were destroyed because they did not have vehicle identification numbers and without the VINs they cannot be legally driven.
Nassau also confiscated over 40 illegal Joke Poker machines and destroyed them.
