Hundreds of Nassau County bus drivers overwhelmingly have approved a new contract with Veolia Transportation.
The contract between the union workers and the company that took over Long Island Bus includes pay raises every year for five years. However, workers will also have higher costs for health care and retirement.
The contract also allows former Long Island bus workers to keep their seniority at the new company.
