There’s a new exhibit at the Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame, and it’s a must for any Billy Joel fan.
The installation, entitled “My Life,” after one of Joel’s songs, features 50 years of the singer’s cherished possessions.
Items on display include the piano Joel played during his tour with Elton John, his harmonica and his iconic black sunglasses.
The exhibits walks visitors through the piano man's childhood on Long Island. One photo shows him performing at the Hicksville High School dance.
Joel will attend a private ceremony at the exhibit tonight, but the event is closed to the public.
The public opening will be Friday, Nov. 24.
