American Muslims of Suffolk & NY held its Muslim Heritage Festival in Lindenhurst on Saturday.
This was the second year of the celebration.
"We are Muslims from all over the world," said organizer Lamya Elkoulily.
More than 50 vendors participated in Saturday's festival. They displayed their cultural items and merchandise to dozens of visitors who attended the event.
"It feels great to be here at this event with the Muslim community. It feels good to be part of it," said Lindenhursts' Stephanie Coreas.
Organizers plan to make the festival an annual event in the community.
