Top music artists walked the red carpet in Patchogue Saturday before their induction into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame.
Honorees include Billy Joel, Joan Jett and Dee Snyder. They arrived at the Patchogue Theater to adoring fans lining the streets. After the induction ceremony, honorees attended a dinner and a jam session.
Fans say they feel like New York City and Los Angeles have come to Long Island. Organizers say the Long Island Music Hall of Fame was created to honor performers who were born, raised or started their careers locally.
