The Long Island Rail Road’s Ronkonkoma branch is running with delays, after a train struck an SUV in Wyandanch.
Suffolk Police say the crash happened Thursday around 5:30 p.m. on South 18th Street. The driver of the vehicle was taken to Good Samaritan University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Eastbound trains on the Ronkonkoma branch terminated at the Farmingdale station until shortly after 7 p.m. After that, trains ran on only one track, causing delays.
