Two MTA officers from Long Island were honored Monday for stopping a potential attack on the Jewish community.
MTA officers Ryan Fackner and Conor Colasurdo arrested two suspects at Penn Station, including Christopher Brown of Aquabogue, after he allegedly made antisemitic and threatening posts online.
NYPD Commissioner Keechant Sewell commended the officers’ heroic efforts while ensuring the safety of the community is top priority.
"We will use our resources and partnerships to stop, investigate, arrest and hold accountable anyone who threatens the safety of the people of this city," says Commissioner Sewell.
The two officers also recovered a semi-automatic firearm, a ghost gun and a Nazi armband from the suspects.
Brown is charged with making a terroristic threat.
