Family and friends said farewell today to the Long Island boxer who died after being knocked out in a fight.
Patrick Day died from a brain injury following a bout in Chicago earlier this month.
There was a steady stream of mourners at the wake services for Day at Word of Life Ministries in his hometown of Freeport.
Day was a former New York Golden Gloves champion and an alternate on the 2012 U.S. Olympic team.
Day's funeral is Saturday morning.
He'll then be buried at Greenfield Cemetery in Uniondale.
