Stony Brook University and Mount Sinai Health System announced a major medical merger Thursday.
The two institutions revealed they will be teaming up for medical research and education.
The combined forces will look into new drugs, neuro science, psychiatry and computer science.
They will also develop joint graduate and medical education programs.
Students will be able to take classes on campuses on Long Island and in the city.
