A late night shooting has Mount Hope residents asking for a larger police presence in their neighborhood.
Shots were fired Tuesday night just off 176th Street and Grand Concourse. Police say the bullets hit a cop car and that no one was hurt.
"It makes me feel scared because anyone of us could be hit by a stray bullet," says Mount Hope resident Kiara Sure.
People who live in the neighborhood say there used to be police surveillance cameras that were recently removed. They are hopeful that the latest shooting might prompt police to reinstall the cameras.
The NYPD says cameras are only placed in neighborhoods temporarily after a crime has been committed.
