Mount Eden residents are fed up with graffiti and say they want the city to erase the problem.
A News 12 The Bronx viewer raised the issue when she called into the ?Ask the Borough President? show. Borough President Adolfo Carrion Jr. promised to look into the issue. Many business owners say they?ve worked with Mayor Michael Bloomberg (R-New York) in the past to cover the graffiti, but they say more appears within days.
Homeowners are calling for the NYPD to catch the vandals, rather than the city just fixing the unsightly graffiti. Graffiti covers many Mount Eden sidewalks, businesses and apartment buildings.
