A Valley Stream mother was arraigned Wednesday after allegedly shooting heroin with her child in the car.
Police say a witness called them after seeing 25-year-old Heather Dajani putting a hypodermic needle into her arm Tuesday night in the Walgreen's parking lot on Franklin Avenue in Franklin Square.
When police arrived, they found heroin, crack cocaine and marijuana in her car. Her 5-year-old daughter was in the back seat.
According to court papers, Dejani told responding officers, "I'm sorry, I just had a relapse. I was in rehab."
Her bond was set at $2,000 or $1,000 bail.
Dejani also signed an order of protection to stay away from her daughter only when under the influence of drugs. She has a prior drug-related felony conviction in 2013.
