News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Sam Augeri says Friday will be the coldest day of the week, but Christmas will see high temperatures near 50 degrees.

-Happy Winter! The season started Thursday at 10:27 PM.
-Dry through Christmas with temperatures warming up a little bit.
-Next storm arrives after Christmas with showers and mild temperatures late Tuesday into Wednesday.
OVERNIGHT: Clear and cold with diminishing northerly winds. Lows near 23 degrees. North winds 5 to 10 mph.
FRIDAY: Sunny and cold with highs near 38. Light north to southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
FRIDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy and cold with lows near 27 degrees.
SATURDAY: Mainly cloudy and not as chilly. Highs near 46 degrees. Cloudy with the slight chance of a passing shower at night with lows near 38.
SUNDAY: Partly sunny to mostly cloudy. Dry with more of a mild feel. Highs near 48 degrees. Lows near 36.
MONDAY: Christmas Day. Mostly sunny and nice with highs near 50. Lows near 39
