Operation Splash, a nonprofit organization committed to cleaning local waterways, is about to head out on its big spring cleanup.

But before crews do, there are some simple ways you can help, and you don't have to be out on the water to do it!

The president of Operation Splash says that on windy days, when the garbage and recycling bins get knocked over, residents don't chase down what blows down the street. That garbage ends up in the storm drains, making its way to the waterways.

So, do your part on land to help out those on and in the waters!
