The candidates for Nassau County executive faced off for the final time before Election Day at the News 12 Long Island studios Wednesday.
Both Republican Edward Mangano and Conservative Steve Hansen hit incumbent County Executive Tom Suozzi on fiscal issues. Mangano accused Suozzi of idling while property taxes soar.
"[Suozzi] hasn't brought a dollar of tax relief to the Nassau tax payer," said Mangano.
"No more of this uncontrolled spending," said Hansen.
Suozzi urged voters to judge him by his record, however.
"We turned the county around from the brink of bankruptcy," said Suozzi.
