Some Molloy College students got to learn the dangers of distracted driving firsthand Tuesday.
A virtual reality experience called Arrive Alive uses a high-tech simulator and impact video to educate people about the dangers of texting while driving.
Sensors are connected to the gas, brake pedals and steering wheel -- enabling users to experience drunk, drugged and distracted driving without the real-life consequences.
After the students leave the vehicle, they are each handed a mock citation detailing the ramifications of their simulated driving.
