Northwell Health CEO Michael Dowling was named America's most influential person in health care by Modern Healthcare magazine.
Modern Healthcare's ranking is decided by peers and the publication's editors, based on impact and leadership.
This marks the 16th year that Dowling was on the list - ranking second nationally in 2020 and third in 2021.
As leader of New York's largest health care provider, Dowling helped lead Northwell Health through health inequities created by the pandemic, improving maternal health and offering supplies to Ukraine during its war with Russia.
