News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Sam Augeri says unsettled weather is ahead for the next few days with mostly cloudy skies and the chance of a few showers.
Most of the time it will be dry with seasonable temperatures. Daytime highs will be in the low 70s with overnight lows near 60 degrees.
It will be drier, but breezy for the weekend to kick off the fall season.
FORECAST:
OVERNIGHT: Mostly cloudy with the chance for a few showers, mostly eastern Long Island. Mild with lows near 65 degrees. Northeast wind 5 to 15 mph. Sunrise: 6:37 a.m.
THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy and breezy at times with the chance for a few showers. Highs near 75 degrees. North wind 10 to 20 mph. Sunset: 6:54 p.m. Cloudy with the chance for showers at night. Lows near 65 degrees.
FRIDAY: Partly sunny to mostly cloudy. Chance for scattered showers. Highs near 73 degrees. Lows near 60 degrees.
SATURDAY: Sun and clouds. Seasonable with highs near 73 degrees. Lows near 57 degrees.
SUNDAY: Partly sunny and breezy. Highs near 70 degrees. Lows near 52 degrees.
