Police say a Stony Brook man who suffers from dementia and was reported missing has been found unharmed.

Police previously reported that Rocco Pesola, 89, of Knolls Drive, was last seen leaving a family member’s home in St. James to return to his residence on Oct. 15.Pesola is 5 feet 9 inches tall and 180 pounds with brown eyes, an olive complexion and white hair.

Pesola was last seen driving a 2015 Nissan Rogue with NY plate BVY 6910.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on Pesola’s location to call 911 or the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
