Nicole Raviv has been singing the National Anthem for the Islanders since 2019, but in a recent game a mic malfunction turned into a memorable moment at the 'Old Barn.'
"During Game 4 against the Bruins as I started to sing, I had mic problems. The mic was off. Everyone was like 'Get the mic back on.' I continued singing and the entire stadium sang with me to recover for it," says Raviv.
Raviv says everyone cheered louder and sang louder. She says the momentum was building, and then the Islanders won.
Raviv says the moment was magical. She says it became a time to unite.
"The last few games at the Coliseum, it's a way to end on a high note - together," says Raviv.
Raviv says she loves singing at the games and hopes to keep the spirit going wherever she ends up.
