Some New York Mets put down their bats and picked up golf clubs Thursday in Holtsville for a good cause.
All-Star second baseman Jeff McNeil hosted his first Drive 4 Good charity event at Top Golf.
McNeil and some of his teammates raised money for the Metropolitan Professional Golf Association Foundation.
The foundation gives 5,000 children a year the opportunity to take their golf skills to the next level through lessons and youth programs.
Proceeds from the event also provide over 1,000 veterans access to the PGA's golf programs.
