Medical researchers will be meeting this week to discuss artificial wombs.
The researchers will look at the ethics and possibilities of creating devices to increase the chances of extremely pre-mature babies surviving after birth.
Artificial wombs are not meant to replace a pregnant mother, instead they would act as a womb after birth by delivering oxygen, nutrients and hormones as the infant continues to develop vital organs.
