69-year-old grandmother dragged by vehicle in Farmingdale; 12-year-old grandson airlifted to hospital

The child was airlifted to Cohen Children’s Medical Center in New Hyde Park. The 69-year-old woman was taken by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital. Both are in critical condition.

A 69-year-old grandmother was struck by a car and dragged for about a quarter-mile on Fulton Street in Farmingdale, police say. Her 12-year-old grandson was also run over.
The crash happened at the corner of Fulton and Main streets around 3 p.m.
The child was airlifted to Cohen Children’s Medical Center in New Hyde Park. Firefighters lifted the vehicle to free the trapped woman. She was taken by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital. Both victims are in critical condition.
Police say the driver is 80 years old. It’s unclear if any charges are being filed.
