A fire ripped through a home on Morris Avenue last Tuesday night, prompting a huge response from fire officials and the NYPD. The fire comes a few weeks after another fire broke out a few doors down in December.
According to the FDNY, the fire started on the first floor of 1531 Morris Avenue at 10:17 p.m. Firefighters were quick to take action.
In Citizen app video obtained by News 12, thick black smoke was seen pluming from the home and bright orange flames peeking through the roof.
Fire officials say the fire was put out in just under an hour. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
This fire comes on the heels of a separate fire that happened on Dec. 15 at 1517 Morris Avenue. It was a vacant building and a fire with no reported injuries.
