Marty Cantor looks at the latest unemployment numbers and discusses finances

News 12's Elizabeth Hashagen was joined by Marty Cantor, CPA and economic development consultant, to discuss finances, our economy and unemployment.
The latest unemployment figures for this week show that 1.4 million more Americans filed for unemployment benefits for the first time. We know the coronavirus surges throughout many states, and recently reopened businesses shut their doors to slow the virus's spread.

The 1.4 million filing for U.S. jobless aid is the first increase since March. All told, the Labor Department says that roughly 32 million people are receiving unemployment benefits.
