Today is Veterans Day, and we are saluting all those who served.

Hurricane Grill and Wings on County Road 111 is lending a helping hand to our heroes today with a fundraiser.

To honor the 13 service members who lost their lives in Afghanistan this past August, customers who sit at a designated booth at the restaurant will have 10% of their checks donated to the Dashan Briggs Foundation.

Technical Sgt.Dashan J. Briggs served in the 106th NYS Air National Guard unit as a Special Missions Aviator. While deployed on March 15, 2018, Dashan was one of seven men killed when the helicopter they were riding in crashed in western Iraq.

The foundation was founded by Briggs’s wife Rebecca, to keep his legacy alive and raise funds for student scholarships.

The couple was frequent customers at the Manorville location.

Along with the fundraiser that will continue through the end of the year, the restaurant will also be offering all veterans and active duty military a complimentary entree from a menu featuring a list of six entrees on Veterans Day.
