A Manhasset attorney has admitted to stealing nearly $230,000 from a client.
Alfred DiGirolomo Jr. pleaded guilty on Thursday.
Police say he used some of the money to buy cars and membership to a country club.
From January 2014 to May 2016, DiGirolomo's client paid him $229,000, but he did not give the money to the appropriate parties.
The 63-year-old is expected back in court in June.
He faces up to three years in prison if he doesn't pay remaining restitution.
