Man, woman on the run after slashing on 5 train

The victim was taken to NYC Health+Hospitals/Jacobi and is expected to recover.

A man and woman are on the run after a slashing on the 5 train.

Police say on Jan. 15 just after 6 p.m., a 24-year-old man was on the 5 train at the Nereid Avenue-White Plains Road subway station. He got into an argument with someone that turned physical. A second person then got involved and slashed the victim in the face with a cutting instrument.

The victim was taken to NYC Health+Hospitals/Jacobi and is expected to recover.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
