A Southampton man is accused of sabotaging his former business partner’s vacation by posing as the partner and canceling his trip to Aruba just hours before takeoff.

Suffolk County police say Ronald Fisher impersonated his ex-partner in a call to a travel agency, then canceled the man’s Aruba getaway just three hours before departure.

The victim, a Moriches man, didn’t learn his trip was axed until after he arrived at JFK Airport on March 22 and was notified by airport staff.

The move allegedly cost the victim $4,202.

The 42-year-old is charged with identity theft.
