Officials say a bitter custody battle ended in heartbreak on the Upper West Side.
According to police, a Brooklyn dad threw his 3-year-old off the roof of a 52-story apartment building and then killed himself.
Dmitriy Kanarikov was supposed to turn his son over to his mother yesterday.
Instead, police say he threw the boy, Kirill, off the building and then jumped to his death.
The little boy died a short time later.
