Officials say a man was hit by a car in front of a catering hall on Old Country Road in Carle Place last night.
According to police, around 11:45 p.m., a 28-year-old man from Maryland was hit outside Chateau Briand.
Police say the man is in serious but stable condition with multiple injuries.
The road was closed in the area overnight but has since been reopened.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the man is not being charged.
