Man struck by 2 cars on Wellwood Avenue in East Farmingdale

A man in East Farmingdale is in critical condition after being struck by two cars on Wellwood Avenue. The man, in his 60s, was walking along the road near Conklin Street just before 11 p.m. on Tuesday.

A man in East Farmingdale is in critical condition after being struck by two cars on Wellwood Avenue.
The man, in his 60s, was walking along the road near Conklin Street just before 11 p.m. on Tuesday.
Police say a Freeport man driving a Mercedes struck the victim. The driver stopped and was trying to help the man when a second car struck the man, who was lying in the road. The second car did not stop.
The victim was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he is being treated for head and internal injuries.
The first driver is not being charged in the accident. Police are looking for the second driver, who was allegedly in a silver Nissan Altima.
