3h agoPolice say they are searching for whoever tried to lure a 5-year-old girl at St. Brigid's Church on Maple Avenue in Westbury on Sunday morning.
According to police, the man grabbed the girl's arm numerous times and attempted to pull her in his direction. It happened shortly after parishioners left morning Mass.
Police say the girl was playing on the lawn when the man described as in his late 50s or early 60s created the struggle.
The girl eventually broke free and ran to tell her parents, who were nearby.
Police say the man was seen getting into a black vehicle with two other females and left. They add that surveillance video shows the man entering the church soon after for a noon Spanish mass.
