A man who was apparently trying to break up an argument was shot twice in Deer Park Monday night.
Police say a group of people was outside a home on Wilson Avenue just before 8 p.m.
They say a person came over and confronted one of the men in the group.
The 41-year-old tried to break up the dispute, but the gunman fired four shots and hit the man twice in the legs, according to officials.
Police say the gunman got away, and the victim is in serious but stable condition.
They say the incident may have been drug-related.
